Membership
Why membership?
Ours is a membership-based organisation not a social service. This is how we support one another in our communities. Being a member gives everyone a sense of belonging. It costs only $20 a year so it is affordable for all.
Associate & Full memberships
Associate members: when people are referred by health and social services, and need support they are invited to become associate members. Once they feel stronger and able to use their skills and time to support others, they are invited to become full members.
Full members: can be of any age. We know the value of younger people in the lives of seniors/kaumātua, so we encourage people of any age to join and use their skills and time to improve the lives of older people. Full members are reference and police checked to ensure the safety of vulnerable people they support.
